TBDC is the administrator of the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative and provides tailored services to help entrepreneurs identify business opportunities in Ontario and apply to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Entrepreneur Stream.
The OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative is an initiative supported by Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development to help immigrant entrepreneurs achieve their dream of starting a business in Ontario and immigrating to Canada.
TBDC will offer the following services to qualified entrepreneurs:
Please note that the OINP Entrepreneur Stream application is a two-stage process that begins with the registration of an expression of interest (EOI) to the OINP. More information is available on the Entrepreneur Stream website.
One-on-one consultations to identify business opportunities in Ontario – to either create a new business or purchase an existing business – that align with your interests and experience.
Assistance to apply to the Entrepreneur Stream, including facilitating access to legal services (optional) to support the process.
The Entrepreneur Pilot will focus on three Spotlight Communities in Ontario (Belleville, Brantford and Sudbury) that are great places to live, work and play. Each Spotlight Community has a variety of business opportunities that may be a good match for your skills and experience. Speak to a member of our team to find out more and see if you qualify.
Click here to learn moreThe Entrepreneur Success Initiative is a two-year initiative supported by Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and is administered by Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC).
The Entrepreneur Success Initiative is for entrepreneurs who are interested in immigrating to Canada by establishing a new business or buying and growing an existing business outside of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Through the Entrepreneur Success Initiative, TBDC provides qualified entrepreneurs with the following services:
– Support to identify business opportunities in Ontario that align with interests and experience (for example: opportunities to create a new business or to purchase an existing business).
– Assistance to apply to the OINP Entrepreneur Stream, including facilitating access to complimentary legal services to support the process.
Complete applications submitted to the Entrepreneur Stream under the Initiative will be processed on a priority basis.
The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) include the following:
– City of Toronto
– Durham Region
– Halton Region
– York Region
– Peel Region
The Entrepreneur Success Initiative is for entrepreneurs who are interested in creating a new business or purchasing an existing business in a community that is located outside of the GTA.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) allows international immigrants with the right skills, experience and education – to apply for a nomination for permanent residence in Ontario, under one of nine streams.
The Entrepreneur Stream under the OINP is for international entrepreneurs who want to establish a new business or buy and grow an existing business in Ontario.
